Civil War journal, February 26, 1864-July 2, 1865, consisting of brief, irregular entries in a small "pocket remembrancer" for 1864. The journal entries reveal a pious, sensitive man, greatly distressed by the rough behavior of his companions; he was relieved to be separated from them by tailoring work which he did for a time.
